Senior Analog Design Engineer
SynopsysJob Title
Senior Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate high-speed mixed-signal PHY analog circuits for UCIe and die-to-die connectivity. Work on circuit architecture, collaborate with layout and digital teams, and support silicon bring-up and verification within the Vietnam analog design team.
Experience Level
Senior - the posting requests 3+ years of hands-on experience in high-speed mixed-signal PHY circuit design; leadership and mentoring experience expected.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include delivering analog circuit blocks and validating them through layout and silicon testing.
- Design analog circuits for high-speed IO blocks (CTLE, FFE, TCOIL, DFE), PLLs/DLLs, bandgap references, clock trees, and calibration circuits.
- Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure design intent is preserved and perform post-layout verification.
- Analyze and resolve signal integrity, power integrity, noise, and margin issues in complex mixed-signal systems.
- Integrate analog blocks with digital and system engineers and support mixed-signal verification flows.
- Define testchip architectures, create test cases, and execute silicon bring-up and lab validation.
- Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and demonstrated experience.
- 3+ years hands-on experience designing high-speed mixed-signal PHY circuits with a record of tapeouts and silicon validation.
- Deep understanding of analog circuit design fundamentals including noise analysis, signal and power integrity, and layout effects.
- Experience with post-layout verification and mixed-signal system integration.
- Strong English communication skills for presenting design reviews and writing documentation.
- Experience leading design reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
- Nice-to-have: experience with academic research or publications.
