Senior Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior Analog Design Engineer for the Precision Signal Chain Group based in Limerick. Responsible for transistor‑level analog circuit design, translating system requirements into analog architectures, and delivering high‑precision signal‑conditioning ICs.
The role involves cross‑functional collaboration with fabrication, layout, board design and test teams to move designs from concept to production.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
- Transistor-level circuit design and simulation of analog signal chains and subsystems.
- Derive design specifications and architectures from system-level requirements.
- Work with wafer fabrication teams to understand and develop process capabilities.
- Leverage and adapt existing designs to meet new specifications.
- Oversee and support analog and digital layout activities.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Support board design, lab evaluation, and test to validate and deliver products.
Requirements
Core skills and experience (degrees and formal academic requirements are listed under Education Requirements):
- Excellent knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuit design methodologies, tools, and flows. (Must)
- Experience with stability of feedback systems and compensation techniques. (Must)
- Practical experience with transistor-level simulation and verification. (Must)
- Experience in bipolar circuit design and/or high-speed amplifiers. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with precision metrics (mismatch, noise, linearity). (Preferred)
- Design experience with amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, or bias circuits. (Preferred)
- Experience supporting layout, board design, lab evaluation, and production test. (Must)
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time. (Must)
- Strong presentation, technical documentation, analytical skills, and ability to work autonomously. (Preferred)
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) with a focus on analog/mixed-signal design and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience, as stated in the Minimum Qualifications.
