Role Summary
Join the Solutions Group as a Senior Analog Circuit Design Engineer responsible for designing, verifying, and guiding the integration of analog and mixed-signal blocks for SerDes IP. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver silicon-proven analog solutions that meet power, area, and performance targets.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, verification, layout oversight, and documentation for analog/mixed-signal SerDes blocks.
- Ensure analog sub-block performance meets SerDes standards and architecture specifications.
- Define and refine circuit implementations to meet power, area, and performance targets.
- Develop verification strategies and use simulators effectively for design signoff.
- Oversee physical layout to minimize parasitics, device stress, and process variation.
- Collaborate with digital RTL engineers on calibration, adaptation, and control algorithm verification.
- Present simulation results to peers and customers; document design features and test plans.
- Support electrical characterization and integration of analog blocks within SerDes IP.
Requirements
Core technical requirements and relevant skills.
- Hands-on transistor-level design experience of analog and mixed-signal building blocks.
- Silicon-proven implementation experience for analog/mixed-signal circuits.
- Experience with SerDes sub-circuits such as RX equalizers, data samplers, V/I-mode drivers, serializers/deserializers, VCOs, phase interpolators, DLL/PLL, bandgap, ADCs/DACs.
- CMOS layout optimization skills to minimize parasitic R/C and mitigate device mismatch.
- Awareness of ESD techniques and design-for-reliability (electro-migration, IR, aging).
- Experience with EDA tools for schematic entry, layout, and design verification; knowledge of SPICE simulators.
- Familiarity with Verilog-A for behavioral modeling and simulation control/data capture.
Nice-to-have:
- Scripting and numerical tools: TCL, Perl, C, Python, MATLAB.
