Senior AI Product Director
Role Summary
Senior Director of Technical Product Management responsible for defining and driving Tensordyne's next-generation AI inference compute products across silicon, hardware and software. Reports to the VP of Product Management and leads product strategy, roadmaps, and cross-functional execution to deliver datacenter inference solutions.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in AI infrastructure, hardware, systems, or product management preferred.
Responsibilities
Lead product definition and execution across the full stack and engage customers and partners to align product plans with market needs.
- Define technology roadmap and go-to-market strategy for AI inference compute products.
- Engage customers, partners, and researchers to gather requirements and prioritize features.
- Perform competitive analysis, cost and KPI modeling, and track key product metrics.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (hardware, silicon, software, marketing, sales) to deliver product releases and customer projects.
- Oversee customer deployments and ensure successful integration of hardware and software solutions.
- Represent the company externally at conferences and industry events when required.
- Collaborate with marketing on positioning, demos, and thought-leadership materials.
Requirements
Must-have technical, commercial, and product-management skills to manage complex AI inference platforms.
- Deep technical understanding of AI inference execution flows and architectures (e.g., MoE models, prefill vs. decode trade-offs).
- Knowledge of inference architectures and optimizations: KV cache management, server architectures, multi-user scheduling, and parallelization techniques (tensor, pipeline, expert, data).
- Familiarity with compute disaggregation, resource orchestration, and rack-scale system design.
- Understanding of hardware performance characteristics, accelerator architectures, high-performance networking, and optical interconnects.
- Experience with AI software stacks including compilers, runtimes, and inference optimization frameworks.
- Ability to translate hardware capabilities to system-level performance and customer business outcomes.
- Strong techno-economic skills: cost-performance optimization, TCO, performance-per-dollar, and energy-efficiency analysis.
- Proven product management skills: defining strategy, building roadmaps, prioritization, and lifecycle management for technical products.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging customers, partners, and internal teams.
Education Requirements
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
