Senior AI Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement agentic AI solutions and integrate intelligent agents into products and workflows to address semiconductor manufacturing challenges. Work within the Measurement, Analytics and Control (MACH) group on technical architecture, hands-on development, and cross-functional deployment to improve efficiency, quality, and automation.

Collaborate with software, hardware, and data teams to embed agent-based workflows into production applications and scale via cloud and MLOps.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Minimum qualifications indicate: Doctorate may qualify with 0 years of experience; Master’s with ~2 years; Bachelor’s with ~3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include technical design, development, and deployment of agentic AI systems:

• Architect and implement agentic AI solutions for semiconductor applications.
• Design and develop multi-agent systems that collaborate across domains.
• Integrate reasoning, planning, and reinforcement learning into AI workflows.
• Identify suitable technology stacks and lead hands-on implementation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and data teams to ensure deployment, usability, and user experience.
• Continuously evaluate and apply emerging agent-based AI technologies to production problems.
• Develop monitoring and maintenance strategies for deployed AI agents.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Proven AI/ML development experience, including work on agent-based systems or reinforcement learning.
• Software engineering experience with machine learning and deep learning workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++; experience with PyTorch.
• Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps for scalable deployment.
• Experience developing web-based front-ends.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving requirements.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with LLM pre-training.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular or Vue.
• Domain knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and data pipelines.

Education Requirements

Doctorate (PhD) or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; Bachelor’s degree accepted with relevant experience. A minor in Mathematics is listed as preferred. The posting also allows equivalent practical work experience in lieu of degree (e.g., Master’s with ~2 years, Bachelor’s with ~3 years).
