Job Title

Semiconductor Product Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for developing, deploying and supporting outsourced manufacturing test solutions for next‑generation AI accelerator devices. The role covers pre‑silicon planning, first‑silicon bring‑up, NPI and high‑volume production, working closely with test development, DFT teams, OSATs and subcontracted partners.

Experience Level

Mid-level - the role expects experienced engineers (typically 5+ years) with hands-on semiconductor test engineering background.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include test program delivery, silicon bring-up, and production support.

  • Develop, deploy and maintain ATE test programs for high‑volume manufacturing of AI accelerator chips and test vehicles.
  • Implement manufacturing test content for advanced CMOS blocks: high‑speed logic, SRAM, DRAM and high‑speed IO.
  • Develop and debug structural and functional test content (scan/ATPG, LBIST, MBIST, JTAG, HSIO).
  • Bring up first silicon on ATE: pattern debug, tester correlation, characterization and corner analysis.
  • Optimize test coverage, test time and cost while maintaining production robustness.
  • Collaborate with subcontracted test development partners and OSATs on program execution and debug.
  • Support qualification, reliability testing and high‑volume manufacturing ramps.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience are listed first; preferred items are noted.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of hands‑on semiconductor test engineering experience.
  • Must-have: Strong experience developing ATE test programs (Advantest 93K or similar).
  • Must-have: Solid understanding of DFT methodologies (scan, ATPG, MBIST) and memory test techniques.
  • Must-have: Experience debugging silicon issues at the tester and correlating failures to design or process causes.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with advanced CMOS nodes and production test challenges.
  • Must-have: Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional engineering environment and with external manufacturing partners.
  • Preferred: Experience testing AI accelerators, GPUs, networking ASICs or other high‑performance compute ICs.
  • Preferred: Experience with PCIe Gen5/Gen6 or other high‑speed interfaces; exposure to advanced packaging, chiplets or multi‑die test flows.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated work improving yield, reducing test time, or optimizing cost in high‑volume manufacturing; experience with test hardware procurement (probe cards, load boards, sockets).

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
