Semiconductor Device Development Engineer
Role Summary
Work on wafer-level device and process development from concept through mass-production ramp for automotive and AI-targeted semiconductor products. The role focuses on device-structure design, wafer process flow development, measurement and evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration with process, design, and quality teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level — generally targets candidates with 1+ years of semiconductor device or wafer process development experience.
Responsibilities
The role spans device design, process development, and product ramp-up responsibilities.
- Define and develop wafer process flows from concept to production qualification.
- Design and evaluate semiconductor device structures and test elements (TEG).
- Perform device electrical and wafer-level measurements and analyze results.
- Collaborate with product design, element-process teams, and quality assurance to resolve technical issues and enable production.
- Support process integration and volume ramp activities to ensure manufacturability and product quality.
Requirements
Key must-have skills and desirable skills.
- Must-have: At least 1 year of experience in semiconductor device structure design or process development; basic knowledge of semiconductor physics and wafer process prototyping.
- Must-have: Ability to work across teams and learn domain skills to become a leading engineer in the field.
- Nice-to-have: Wafer-level electrical measurement skills using wafer testers/probers.
- Nice-to-have: Test Element Group (TEG) layout design experience.
