Job Title

Security Architect - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Work on security architecture for NVIDIA SoCs and GPUs, supporting platform security requirements, certification efforts, and secure design across automotive, gaming, and server products.

Collaborate with senior security architects and cross-functional engineering teams and help build AI-assisted tools to improve specification review, threat modeling, and certification workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate. Suitable for recent graduates or candidates with equivalent practical experience (approximately 0–3 years).

Responsibilities

Support security architecture, certification, and tooling across chip and platform programs.

  • Support security certification and compliance efforts (examples: FIPS 140-3, EU CRA, ISO 21434, Caliptra audits).
  • Assist with certification documentation, evidence collection, implementation tracking, and coordination with labs and auditors.
  • Translate security and certification requirements into practical engineering guidance for hardware, firmware, and software teams.
  • Review architecture, verification, and firewall specifications under senior guidance to assess platform security requirements.
  • Contribute to threat modeling: identify trust boundaries, attack surfaces, assets, assumptions, and mitigations.
  • Produce and maintain security architecture documentation, design-review checklists, and compliance mappings.
  • Collaborate with security, hardware, software, verification, and product teams to evaluate security requirements.
  • Build and improve AI-enhanced tools and automation to support specification review, evidence summarization, and scalable threat modeling, while protecting confidential design information.

Requirements

Key technical skills and attributes required or strongly expected.

  • Strong foundation in computer architecture, digital logic, operating systems, embedded systems, or computer security.
  • Practical coursework, internship, research, or project experience in security, computer architecture, hardware design, or cryptography.
  • Programming and debugging fundamentals in one or more: C, C++, Python, Verilog, SystemVerilog, ARM or RISC-V assembly, or scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for cross-team work.
  • Curiosity and interest in learning silicon security topics (secure boot, measured boot, hardware root of trust, key management).
  • Interest in applying AI tools and automation to engineering workflows while maintaining security and rigor.
  • Nice to have: exposure to SoC/platform security concepts, cryptographic implementations, threat modeling, vulnerability research, ASIC/RTL/verification experience, or building AI-assisted engineering tools.

Education Requirements

Pursuing or recently completed a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
