Role Summary

Design and specify product and system security solutions across hardware, firmware and protocols for NXP product lines. Work with R&D teams to define security requirements, perform architecture reviews, and coordinate vulnerability analysis and certification activities.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on architecture, design reviews, vulnerability analysis and specification of security mechanisms across IPs, subsystems and systems.

• Design and specify product and system security architectures and mechanisms.
• Translate functional requirements into security requirements and link security mechanisms to those requirements.
• Perform detailed implementation reviews (RTL, firmware) and attack modeling.
• Define security mechanisms in hardware, firmware and protocols.
• Plan, coordinate and execute pre-silicon vulnerability analysis (VA) and certification support.
• Analyze root causes of security defects and vulnerabilities and drive remediation.
• Ensure delivery of scalable, high-quality and cost-competitive security technologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain experience:

• Digital Signal Processing.
• Hardware description language: Verilog.
• Programming: C/C++ and Python.
• MATLAB.
• Side-channel analysis experience.
• Digital system design and embedded system security, including cryptography.
• Experience performing vulnerability analysis and security design reviews.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (including foreign equivalents).
