Job Title

Scrum Master

Role Summary

Serve as the Scrum Master for Agile teams within Siemens EDA, supporting delivery, removing impediments, and enabling continuous improvement. The role focuses on improving team effectiveness, facilitating Scrum events, and assisting Product Owners with backlog refinement and product discovery.

Work within a larger organization with cross-team dependencies; support 2–3 teams in a hybrid office environment (Katowice).

Experience Level

Mid-level — at least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Support and coach 2 to 3 Scrum teams to promote self-management and high performance.
  • Identify and remove impediments; ensure teams have necessary resources to deliver.
  • Facilitate Scrum events and coach teams on conducting them effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering management to keep projects on track and communicate risks or issues.
  • Assist Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritization, and product discovery.
  • Guide teams in adopting Agile principles and practices; foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with distributed teams and provide online facilitation.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Prior experience as a Software Engineer or QA Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Facilitation and coaching skills to help teams meet goals.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and online facilitation.
  • Ability to identify and address impediments to team productivity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in product discovery and collaborating with Product Owners.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change and transformation; proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with scaling Agile practices and frameworks.
