Role Summary

The Sales Application Engineer (AE) is a customer-facing technical specialist who supports account teams and customers through technical evaluations, demos, and pre-sales verification engagements for the Palladium hardware emulation and prototyping platform.

The AE partners with Sales, R&D and Product Marketing to win complex engagements, accelerate customer adoption of verification solutions, and feed customer insights into product direction.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” approximately 3+ years of experience in digital verification, validation, or related SoC verification roles.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across the sales cycle and enable customer success with emulation and verification platforms.

  • Provide pre-sales technical support for emulation and full verification flows.
  • Lead customer evaluations, benchmarks, and solution demonstrations showcasing Palladium capabilities.
  • Deliver hands-on enablement, training, and workshops to accelerate customer adoption.
  • Optimize design and verification flows using Cadence technologies and verification methodology expertise.
  • Support SoC bring-up, hardware/software co-verification, and customer integration issues.
  • Capture customer requirements and feedback to influence R&D and product strategy.
  • Drive technical sales campaigns in collaboration with Sales and Product Marketing.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and attributes for the role. Education requirements are listed separately below.

  • Minimum ~3+ years experience in digital verification or validation (customer-facing technical role preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware emulation platforms such as Palladium, Veloce, or ZeBu.
  • Proficiency with RTL and verification languages: Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Experience with hardware/software co-verification, SoC bring-up, and testbench methodologies.
  • Programming skills in C/C++, SystemC, and Python; strong Unix/Linux and scripting ability.
  • Fluency in English and French for customer engagement in the region.
  • Customer-focused, proactive communicator, able to travel as required.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with simulation tools (Xcelium, VCS, Questa) and protocols (AMBA, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, MIPI).

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electronics, Microelectronics or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of the stated degree.
