S32 Configuration Tools Developer

Role Summary

Develop configuration tools and related software used to configure drivers and applications on NXP automotive processors. Work on features for new and existing tools, deliver customer-focused solutions, and contribute across the full toolchain from embedded C components to higher-level tooling.

Team operates in a multinational, collaborative environment following SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) processes.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include feature development, collaboration, and process alignment.

• Design and implement features for large, complex software projects and configuration tools.
• Produce customer-tailored solutions and ensure tool reliability and usability.
• Work within a globally distributed, cross-functional team and follow SAFe practices.
• Help define, document, and align software development processes and quality practices.
• Engage with internal and external customers to capture requirements and align development priorities.
• Support security-related tasks and work in contexts that may require adherence to security certifications and processes.

Requirements

• OOP experience in one or more languages: Java, C++, or C#.
• Embedded C programming experience and solid understanding of embedded systems.
• Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell).
• Proven experience working on complex software projects and collaborating in teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to perform security-related tasks and follow security processes when required.

• Experience developing Eclipse plugins.
• Tech lead experience on software projects.
• Familiarity with software quality standards and audit processes.
• Presentation skills.
