RTL Design Jobs, Level - Mid-Career

Job Title

RTL Engineer / ASIC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement RTL for ASIC projects and integrate ARM-based SoCs. Work with verification, synthesis, and prototyping teams to move blocks from RTL through FPGA prototyping to tape-out readiness.

Position is based in the Dallas office and focuses on AMBA-based interconnects, timing closure, and integration tasks for SoC designs.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Specific years of experience were not provided.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include RTL development, integration, and supporting implementation and validation flows.

  • Develop and maintain RTL (Verilog/VHDL) for SoC components and IP.
  • Integrate ARM-based subsystems and AMBA interconnects (AXI, AHB, APB).
  • Perform linting, CDC analysis, and support static timing closure activities.
  • Support FPGA prototyping and bring-up for early validation.
  • Work with synthesis and STA engineers to meet timing and area targets.
  • Perform or coordinate formal equivalence checking between RTL and synthesized/netlist views.
  • Collaborate with verification, software, and system teams to resolve integration issues.
  • Produce design documentation and maintain version-controlled sources.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and desirable skills.

Must-have:

  • Hands-on RTL development experience (Verilog and/or VHDL).
  • Experience integrating ARM-based SoCs and AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB).
  • Experience with lint tools and CDC (clock domain crossing) analysis.
  • Experience with FPGA design and prototyping for functional validation.
  • ASIC synthesis experience and familiarity with static timing analysis (STA).
  • Experience with formal equivalence checking.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with simulation and verification tools and flows.
  • Scripting skills (Python, Tcl, Perl) for automation and flow integration.
  • Experience with version control systems and continuous integration practices.
  • Knowledge of low-power or physical design constraints is a plus.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
