RTL Design & Verification Engineer – AI

Role Summary

Develop RTL and verification infrastructure for AI acceleration IP and subsystems within the Data Center Group front-end team. Work spans microarchitecture, RTL design, verification, integration and bring-up in a hybrid on-site/off-site model.

This role offers ownership of hardware features and exposure across the full chip development cycle.

Experience Level

Entry-level / College Grad. The posting notes that 2+ years of FrontEnd design or verification experience is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Define microarchitecture and implement RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for AI-focused IPs and subsystems.
• Develop verification plans, testbenches, and SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments.
• Perform debug and root-cause analysis in pre-silicon environments and drive issues to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with architects, design and verification engineers, and physical design teams.
• Adopt and apply AI tools across the chip development flow where appropriate.

• Must-have: Practical experience or demonstrable proficiency with RTL design or verification (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
• Must-have: Knowledge of verification methodologies and testbench development (SystemVerilog/UVM) or equivalent practical experience.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail for debugging complex hardware issues.
• Must-have: Effective collaboration and communication with architects, design, verification, and physical design teams.
• Nice-to-have: 2+ years of FrontEnd domain experience (design and/or verification).
• Nice-to-have: Orientation to using AI tools and interest in applying them to hardware development.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
