RTL Design Engineering Student
Role Summary
Work on RTL design and verification of PTP (Power, Thermal, Performance) management features for Intel Performance Core (P‑Core) products. The role is part of the Core Engineering Group and focuses on developing and verifying logic that impacts CPU performance and power.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Student internship. Intended for current BSc or MSc students with remaining semesters before graduation.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, implementation, and verification tasks related to PTP management and interfaces with firmware and SoC components.
- Define, debug, implement and verify RTL for PTP management features.
- Exercise and validate logical correctness across complex interfaces.
- Perform development and verification using state-of-the-art languages, tools, and software engineering practices.
- Collaborate with firmware and SoC teams to integrate features and validate interfaces.
- Contribute to improving performance and power characteristics of Intel CPUs.
- Learn and develop expertise in Intel architecture and high-speed design practices.

- Nice-to-have: experience on VLSI projects and familiarity with SystemVerilog.

Education Requirements
Student pursuing a BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with at least three semesters remaining until graduation.
