RTL Design Engineer - PowerArtist

Role Summary

The RTL Design Engineer - PowerArtist will partake in the development and maintenance of tests for functional and performance verification at the core level. This role is vital in ensuring that AMD delivers high-quality technologies to market efficiently.

Experience Level

Candidates should be adaptable and self-motivated designers with experience in digital design and verification. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with team members across various locations are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tests for functional and performance verification.
• Build testbench components for next-generation IP.
• Enhance current test libraries for IP level testing.
• Create hardware emulation builds to verify IP functional performance.
• Improve hardware emulation environments to optimize runtime performance and debugging processes.
• Provide technical assistance to other teams.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of RTL spyglass/lint and RTL power design/optimization tools such as PowerArtist. Proficiency in C/C++, SystemVerilog, and verification libraries like UVM is necessary. Experience in computing or graphics, alongside knowledge of OpenGL/OpenCL/D3D programming, is considered advantageous.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
