RTL Design Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement synthesizable RTL for digital ASIC/SoC features. Work within a design team to translate microarchitecture into hardware description languages and deliver tapeout-ready blocks.
Collaborate with verification, architecture, synthesis, and place-and-route teams to meet timing, area, and power targets and support bring-up and silicon debug.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities typically expected for this role include:
- Write, review, and maintain synthesizable RTL (e.g., SystemVerilog) for module and block designs.
- Implement microarchitectural features and ensure correctness against specifications.
- Collaborate with verification engineers to support verification plans, debug failures, and close coverage gaps.
- Optimize designs for timing, area, and power; support synthesis and timing closure activities.
- Participate in code reviews and design reviews; enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Support backend teams during floorplanning, P&R, and ECOs; assist with silicon bring-up and post-silicon debug.
- Produce and maintain design documentation and run regression scripts where required.
Requirements
