RTL Design Engineer
Advanced Micro DevicesJob Title
RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Owner of top-level RTL design and integration for mixed-signal power-management IP. Drive RTL through timing closure and tape-out in collaboration with physical design and verification teams. Work closely with analog macro, firmware, architecture, and system teams to ensure silicon meets functional, timing, and integration goals.
Experience Level
Mid-level. No specific years-of-experience stated.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include top-level RTL design, analog macro integration, and cross-discipline coordination to deliver mixed-signal power-management ICs.
- Own top-level RTL design and integration for mixed-signal power-management ICs.
- Integrate analog macros and support bring-up and debug of analog behavioral models in the digital simulation environment.
- Author micro-architecture specifications with Architecture and Firmware teams.
- Drive timing closure and collaborate with Physical Design to meet timing and design-quality targets through tape-out.
- Coordinate with verification, analog, firmware, and system teams during design, integration, and silicon bring-up.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes and a few desirable additions.
- Must-have: Experience with top-level RTL design and mixed-signal macro integration for power-management or similar IP.
- Must-have: Demonstrated ability to drive designs through timing closure and participate in tape-out activities.
- Must-have: Strong collaboration and communication skills; experience working with analog, firmware, physical design, and verification teams.
- Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to take ownership of complex issues.
- Nice-to-have: Prior experience with SOC-level integration, silicon bring-up, or mixed-signal verification flows.
