Job Title
RTL Design/AMS Verification Engineer
Role Summary
As an RTL Design/AMS Verification Engineer you will develop and verify RTL for mixed-signal and digital integrated circuits, perform AMS simulations, and support synthesis and physical implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on ASIC/SoC projects in medical, defense, and semiconductor applications.
The role focuses on RTL development, design verification, IP integration, and supporting silicon bring-up to meet performance and reliability targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level β minimum 5 years of integrated circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and verify Verilog RTL using industry-standard methodologies.
- Plan and execute design verification and AMS verification using Cadence tools.
- Run synthesis and support automatic place-and-route (APR) implementation.
- Integrate IP and develop subsystems with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Prepare and present design reviews, technical documentation, and test/characterization plans.
- Debug silicon issues and support characterization and product delivery.
- Apply industry best practices throughout the IC development lifecycle.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and constraints:
- Minimum 5 years experience in integrated circuit design with a proven track record of delivered designs.
- Strong expertise in Verilog RTL design within Cadence and/or Synopsys design flows.
- Hands-on experience with design verification, AMS verification, logic synthesis, and APR.
- Proficient debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to present complex technical concepts clearly.
- Role requires ITAR compliance: must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.
Preferred (nice-to-have):
- Experience with IP integration.
- Programming/automation skills in Python, Perl, Tcl, or SKILL.
- Understanding of both digital and analog/mixed-signal design methodologies; experience with RF or digital front-end design is a plus.
- Familiarity with a range of semiconductor process technologies and manufacturing environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
