Role Summary
Senior operator serving as a hybrid Chief of Staff and execution-focused TPM for the RISC-V software organization. Partner with workstream leads to define goals, convert them into executable plans, and drive cross-functional initiatives to completion.
Role responsibilities include planning and execution oversight, dependency and risk tracking, headcount and recruiting coordination, and preparing materials for customer/partner engagements. This role is hybrid (Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX) with remote options in the United States or Australia.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The team will assess candidates for the appropriate level during interview; experience leading large technical programs or serving as a Chief of Staff/TPM in technical organizations is expected.
Responsibilities
Drive operational execution and program management across the RISC-V software organization.
- Define, track, and drive team milestones with RISC-V software workstream leaders.
- Build and maintain dependency tracking and risk mitigation plans to resolve bottlenecks early.
- Improve planning, execution, and operational visibility across the org.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across software delivery, engineering infrastructure, and external asks.
- Support org headcount planning and coordinate recruiting logistics and hiring loop discipline.
- Prepare presentations and supporting materials for customer and partner engagements.
- Filter inbound requests and enable leadership to focus on highest-value work; represent the team externally when required.

Must-have
- Proven experience leading large technical programs, serving as a TPM, program manager, or Chief of Staff in a technical organization.
- Track record working with engineering teams in systems software, infrastructure, or semiconductors.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and create structure where needed.
Nice-to-have
- Direct experience with RISC-V, CPU projects, or semiconductor development.
- Experience preparing customer- or partner-facing technical presentations and materials.
- Hands-on experience coordinating recruiting and scaling engineering organizations.
