RISC-V AI / HPC & Agentic Software Engineering Lead
TenstorrentJob Title
RISC-V AI / HPC & Agentic Software Engineering Lead
Role Summary
Lead software development at the hardware–software boundary to enable AI, HPC, and agentic AI stacks on Tenstorrent’s RISC-V processors. Responsible for integrating and optimizing the Low-Level Kernel (LLK) infrastructure for CPU execution and leading the bring-up of a RISC-V-native agentic AI stack, including runtime orchestration, distributed execution, memory systems, and developer tools.
Collaborate closely with CPU architects, microarchitecture, compiler, and AI kernel teams to align software capabilities with RISC-V architectural features. Employment is contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology; offers may be rescinded if compliance is not possible.
Experience Level
Senior (Lead). Tenstorrent may evaluate candidates at different levels during interview, but this role is hiring at a senior/lead level.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on software enablement, performance optimization, and leading integration for RISC-V AI/HPC and agentic systems.
- Integrate and optimize Tenstorrent’s LLK infrastructure for CPU execution.
- Lead bring-up of a RISC-V-native agentic AI stack: runtime orchestration, distributed execution, memory systems, and developer tools.
- Design and implement runtime orchestration and distributed execution frameworks for goal-driven AI systems.
- Collaborate with CPU architects, microarchitecture, compiler, and AI kernel teams to define software and architectural requirements.
- Profile and optimize performance-critical code paths and runtimes; translate performance targets into software/architecture changes.
- Drive hardware–software co-design, validate ISA extensions or microarchitectural changes for AI workloads.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong background in HPC and AI software development.
- Solid understanding of RISC-V ISA and microarchitectural implications.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and systems-level programming.
- Experience optimizing performance-critical code, profiling, and low-level optimization.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks or distributed execution/orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with compiler toolchains (LLVM, GCC).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with vectorization, custom ISA extensions, or accelerator integration.
- Experience designing or extending runtimes and developer tooling for distributed AI systems.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
