Job Title

RISC-V AI / HPC & Agentic Software Engineering Lead

Role Summary

Lead software engineer operating at the hardware–software boundary to enable AI, HPC, and agentic AI stacks on Tenstorrent RISC-V processors. Responsible for integrating and optimizing low-level kernel (LLK) infrastructure for CPU execution and driving the bring-up of a RISC-V–native agentic AI software stack.

This remote role is based out of Taiwan and requires close collaboration with CPU architects, microarchitecture teams, compiler engineers, and AI kernel developers.

Experience Level

Senior (Lead). The posting indicates assessment of level during interview; candidates with significant experience in HPC/AI systems and hardware–software co-design are expected.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include enabling and optimizing software for RISC-V CPUs and leading stack development for agentic AI systems.

  • Integrate and optimize Tenstorrent's LLK infrastructure for CPU execution and performance.
  • Lead development and bring-up of a RISC-V–native agentic AI software stack, including runtime orchestration and distributed execution.
  • Design and implement memory systems and developer tools for goal-driven AI systems.
  • Collaborate with CPU architects, microarchitecture, compiler, and kernel teams to align software with ISA features.
  • Profile, tune, and optimize performance-critical code paths at instruction and microarchitecture levels.
  • Validate and integrate custom ISA extensions, vectorization, and accelerator interfacing where required.
  • Drive runtime and orchestration design for distributed AI workloads.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and desirable skills.

  • Must-have: Strong background in HPC and AI software development.
  • Must-have: Solid understanding of the RISC-V ISA, extensions, and micro-architectural implications.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in C/C++ and systems-level programming.
  • Must-have: Experience optimizing performance-critical code, profiling, and low-level optimization.
  • Must-have: Experience with distributed execution systems, orchestration frameworks, or agentic AI architectures.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with compiler toolchains (LLVM, GCC) and their impact on performance.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with vectorization, custom ISA extension design, or accelerator integration.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior work on runtime systems, memory system design, or low-level kernel infrastructure.
  • Other: Comfortable working close to hardware and instruction-level programming; motivated by hardware–software co-design.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
