RFIC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design, develop, and productize CMOS RF building blocks for wireless connectivity as a member of the wireless radio team. Provide technical leadership through product definition, architecture, circuit design, layout supervision, lab debug, and production support.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical background: Masters degree with 6+ years of related experience, or PhD with 3+ years of related experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities span architecture, design, verification, and production support.
- Architect and design RFIC building blocks in CMOS processes.
- Perform transistor-level circuit design and circuit simulation using the Cadence design environment.
- Oversee or supervise layout and ensure manufacturability.
- Lead lab bring-up, debug silicon, perform RF tuning, and validate designs with RF instruments.
- Collaborate with test, product, system, modeling, and applications engineering teams.
- Provide production support and resolve post-silicon issues.
Requirements
Core technical skills and hands-on experience required.
- Proven experience designing RF building blocks in CMOS technologies.
- Strong circuit simulation skills in Cadence tools.
- Hands-on lab debugging and RF tuning experience with RF instruments.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
Education Requirements
