RFFE Testing Engineer
Role Summary
Support planning, verification, testing, and bring-up of RF front-end and related electronic systems. Work within Qualcomm's Hardware Engineering team to develop and validate hardware, test solutions, and manufacturing characterization for product release.
Experience Level
Entry-level β typically 0β3 years. The posting specifies 1+ year of relevant circuit design and test experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include hands-on testing, analysis, and support for hardware development and production test programs.
- Assist planning, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic and RF systems, bring-up, and yield improvement.
- Support integration of features into hardware designs and trade-off analysis for power, performance, and area.
- Perform simulations, analyses, and implement test/measurement procedures.
- Use oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and RF tools to characterize designs and validate performance.
- Help evaluate and develop manufacturing/test solutions to meet quality and schedule targets.
- Contribute to reliability assessments, automation, and productivity improvements.
- Write technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience for the role.
- Minimum 1+ year experience in circuit design (digital, analog, or RF).
- Experience using schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
- Experience with hardware test and measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools).
- Experience with hardware bring-up, test development, characterization, or manufacturing test processes.
- Basic problem-solving, planning, and written/verbal communication skills; able to work under supervision.
- Nice-to-have: experience with FPGA/DSP systems, test automation, yield optimization, or reliability evaluation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in these fields is preferred.
