Role Summary
Join the Hardware Engineering team to support RF front-end (RFFE) product and test activities at Qualcomm Semiconductor Limited in Hsinchu. The role assists in planning, verification, characterization, bring-up, and production test of electronic systems and components.
Work involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet product performance, yield, test-time, and quality targets.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career - the posting prefers candidates with about 1+ years of relevant hardware or circuit experience.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include supporting design verification, testing, and production integration for RFFE and related hardware.
- Assist in planning, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems, circuits, and RF/analog/digital subsystems.
- Support integration of features into hardware designs according to proposals and roadmaps.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to meet power, performance, and area targets.
- Collaborate to implement test solutions that improve yield, reduce test time, and raise quality.
- Evaluate and characterize designs and manufacturing solutions; support product bring-up and qualification.
- Assess design features for flaws, compatibility, and compliance issues.
- Contribute to technical documentation for hardware projects.
Requirements
Key technical skills and practical experience required or strongly preferred.
- Must-have: ~1+ year hands-on experience with circuit design (digital, analog, or RF) and hardware measurement.
- Experience using schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
- Experience with test and measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools) and hardware bring-up.
- Familiarity with test systems, characterization, and basic reliability evaluation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work under supervision and follow multi-step procedures.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with FPGA/DSP systems, production test automation, or yield-improvement techniques.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
