RF System Engineer — NFC Readers and Wireless Charging
Role Summary
Lead RF system validation for NFC reader and wireless charging products in a cross-functional, global product development team. Responsible for planning, executing, and reporting RF validation activities to ensure product interoperability, compliance with relevant standards, and target RF performance.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically 3–5 years of relevant RF experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on RF validation, performance optimization, and improving validation workflows.
- Lead RF-related NFC system validation projects across cross-functional teams.
- Plan, track, execute, report and debug validation tasks for global product development.
- Optimize RF performance against standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 14443, EMVCo), interoperability and product efficiency requirements.
- Improve RF validation workflows and test coverage in collaboration with test automation experts.
- Provide technical support and inputs for customer support and design-in activities.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required to perform the role effectively; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in RF engineering or RF validation.
- Understanding of RF communication systems, including modulation techniques and coding.
- Advanced software skills with MatLab and Python.
- Strong documentation skills, organized and accurate work style.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Nice to have: experience with RF simulation tools (e.g. ADS, RFSim), transmitter/receiver architecture knowledge, and test automation exposure.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree from a technical university in Electronics & Communications, RF/Microwave engineering or a closely related field.
