RF IC Design and System Simulation Engineer

Role Summary

The engineer will develop system-level simulation methodologies and perform Tx full-chain verification for RF front-end modules, integrating power amplifiers, switches, filters and PCB effects. The role builds automated workflows to predict end-to-end Tx performance and improve correlation between simulation and lab measurements.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include system simulation, model development, automation, and measurement correlation.

• Perform Tx full-chain simulations integrating PA, switches, and filters to predict system-level metrics (EVM, ACLR, noise, efficiency).
• Develop and verify behavioral models for RF FEM components for top-level system analysis.
• Analyze interactions between transceiver and FEM, including impedance mismatch and non-linearity effects.
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools for simulation control, large-scale data processing, and regression testing.
• Correlate system simulation data with lab measurements to improve model accuracy.

Requirements

Core technical skills and tools required; preferred items listed below.

• Strong understanding of transceiver architectures and complete RF front-end chains (PA, LNA, switch, filters).
• Experience with simulation tools: ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, Dynamic Link, Golden Gate, and HFSS.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and regression testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills for debugging system issues and correlating simulation with lab data.
• Proficiency with AI coding agents to increase development efficiency.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on circuit design experience (PA, switch, or filter).
• Experience with EM simulation tools (HFSS) and thermal analysis.
• Familiarity with AI-driven development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD focused on RF power amplifiers or RFIC circuit design.
