Job Title
RF Front End Program Manager
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end program execution for complex RF front-end (RFFE) module and component programs, spanning feasibility, design, wafer fabrication, assembly, test, qualification, and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) ramp. Operate across RF engineering, product management, supply chain, and customer teams to deliver products on schedule, on budget, and to quality targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 5+ years of program management or related experience in semiconductor, RF, or hardware product development.
Responsibilities
Key duties include program planning, technical coordination, risk management, and process improvement for RFFE programs.
- Own the Program Plan of Record: define and manage schedule, budget, scope, resources, and risks from concept through HVM ramp and sustaining.
- Act as the technical bridge between RF design, systems, and test teams; translate technical risks into program actions and executive-ready communications.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across design, product management, supply chain, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams; resolve blockers and escalate as needed.
- Lead NPI execution and phase-gate governance; ensure exit criteria are met and track program metrics.
- Build and maintain risk and issue trackers; develop mitigation and contingency plans and drive proactive reviews.
- Identify and implement process, tooling, and automation improvements to scale program management across the portfolio.
- Prepare concise, data-driven status reports and executive summaries tailored to diverse audiences.
- Mentor and share best practices to elevate the program management organization.
Requirements
Concise list of required and preferred qualifications (education moved to Education Requirements).
-
Must-have: 5+ years of program management or related experience in semiconductor, RF, or hardware product development.
-
Must-have: Demonstrated understanding of RF front-end signal chain components (PA, LNA, filters, switches, antenna tuners) or analogous complex hardware subsystems.
-
Must-have: Experience driving NPI/production programs with phase-gate governance, schedule and risk management, and program metrics tracking.
-
Must-have: Proven ability to coordinate across global, matrixed organizations and present to senior/executive leadership.
-
Must-have: Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making and advanced communication skills.
-
Nice-to-have: Hands-on or management experience across silicon/module lifecycle (design, tape-out, wafer fab, packaging/assembly, test development, qualification, HVM ramp).
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with RF semiconductor technologies (SOI, GaAs) and filtering/packaging technologies (BAW/SAW, SiP, MCM, Fan-Out WLP).
-
Nice-to-have: Experience integrating AI/automation tools into program management workflows (predictive scheduling, automated risk dashboards).
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (RF/Analog/Mixed-Signal emphasis) or related field. (Education language was present in the source; equivalent-experience language was not specified.)
