RF Design Engineer

Role Summary

The RF Design Engineer will focus on the design and verification of analog and RF/mm-wave circuits within integrated SiGe/CMOS RF/mixed signal Systems-on-Chip products. This role includes responsibilities in circuit design from DC to 60 GHz, with a focus on mm-wave amplifiers, LNAs, power amplifiers, and more.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

• Design of analog/mm-wave circuits at the transistor level.
• Design capture and layout.
• 3-D electromagnetic modeling of on-chip passives.
• Simulations and verification of analog/mm-wave circuits.
• Documentation, testing, and evaluation.
• Involvement in diverse design projects focusing on circuit components in CMOS and HBT technologies.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• Working knowledge of Cadence, Mentor, & ADS design, verification & layout tools.
• Experience with 3-D EM tools such as EMX or SONNET.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• B.S.E.E. degree with a preferred graduation grade of Excellent or relevant industry experience.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) is required, preferably with an excellent graduation grade and relevant project experience in the analog/RFIC field.
