RF Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Work as an Applications Engineer on Analog Devices' RF product portfolio (PLL, VCO, integrated PLL/VCO, JESD204, network clock ICs, multipliers, DDS, dividers) to support product definition, development, documentation, and customer design-in.
Role includes customer and field support, lab measurements, developing evaluation hardware and software, and cross-team signal-chain work. Day shift; required travel ~10%.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities across the product lifecycle and customer support.
- Provide technical support to customers and field application engineers; troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
- Develop datasheets, user guides, evaluation boards, and application notes.
- Create technical training material and deliver training to field teams.
- Perform laboratory measurements and characterize RF ICs; develop Python scripts for data capture and analysis.
- Collaborate with product lines and engineering teams to define signal-chain solutions and inputs for new product definitions.
- Act as product expert interfacing directly with customers and FAEs to support design-in activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and abilities for successful performance in the role.
- Hands-on experience with silicon evaluation and board-level testing.
- Practical experience using RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Phase Noise Analyzers, and Vector Network Analyzers.
- Programming experience in Python or one of C, C++, C#; able to develop scripts for measurements and data capture.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and support customers.
- Ability to develop evaluation hardware and verification setups for RF products.
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of programmable logic (FPGA) and SoC development.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
