Job Title
Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for qualifying, characterizing, and transferring analog/mixed-signal CMOS IC products from prototype to mass production. Lead reliability and package/process qualifications, product characterization, statistical analysis, and cross-functional project execution to support volume release and yield improvement.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role requires substantial hands-on semiconductor reliability experience; the posting indicates a minimum of 8+ years in analog/mixed-signal device reliability.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing reliability and characterization activities, driving projects to production, and supporting customers and manufacturing.
- Plan and perform reliability qualification tests (ESD, LU, HTOL) and package qualifications.
- Characterize product performance across process, voltage, temperature (PVT) and generate statistical reports.
- Transfer designs from prototype samples to mass production according to schedule and quality targets.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and drive milestones for production release, cost reduction, and yield improvement.
- Support package/process qualification and validate ATE PVT with controlled GRR experiments.
- Provide customer support: investigate product issues, prepare reports, and participate in customer meetings.
- Drive defect-per-million-parts (DPPM) reduction to meet quality targets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional attributes required for this role.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in semiconductor reliability, focusing on analog/mixed-signal devices using CMOS processes.
- Proven failure analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve design, test, package, or process-related performance and yield issues.
- Strong project management, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with characterization data collection, statistical analysis, and report generation.
- Track record of driving quality targets and production readiness.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented team player.
- Nice-to-have: hands-on knowledge of ESD and LU testing, burn-in-board (BIB) design, and guard-banding test limits for system/process/mechanical/PVT variance.
Education Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's, Professional, or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent practical experience.
