Radio Integration Lead

Role Summary

Owner of how Nordic's short-range radio IP is integrated into product SoCs, acting as the technical bridge between the radio IP team and product design groups. Work spans RF/analog, digital implementation, verification and system validation to ensure first-time-right integrations.

This is a technical leadership role: influence, define methodology, and provide cross-team guidance rather than line management.

Experience Level

Senior - several years of experience with IC design or integration, including hands-on work on RF/analog IP or mixed-signal SoCs.

Responsibilities

Lead and standardize radio IP integration across product projects, from planning to tape-out, and maintain integration artefacts and processes.

• Support integrations alongside product design teams; resolve issues on floorplan, supplies, clocking, interfaces, isolation and interference.
• Define and drive integration and verification methodology, checklists and automation for repeatable flows and sign-off.
• Maintain integration documentation and tools; define required IP deliverables and quality standards.
• Coordinate incoming support requests, triage issues, prioritise across projects and ensure closure with appropriate owners.
• Review verification and silicon measurement data, assess radios in-system, and drive root-cause investigations when performance deviates.
• Keep integration status and risks visible to project and product stakeholders and escalate early when required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience relevant to radio IP integration.

• Several years of practical IC design or integration experience, including hands-on work with RF/analog IP or mixed-signal SoCs.
• Practical knowledge of power supply/regulation, clock/reference distribution, substrate and supply noise coupling, isolation, ESD and floorplan constraints.
• Familiarity with mixed-signal implementation and verification flows and typical IP hand-off deliverables.
• Proven ability to lead technical work across multiple teams and communicate clearly with engineers and management.
• Structured approach to documentation and process; discipline to keep procedures and guidelines current.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: experience building automation or tooling for integration checks and reporting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, MSc or PhD in Electronics, Telecommunications, Physics or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
