Role Summary

Contribute to the development of NXP's Radar SDK by defining, prototyping, and productizing radar algorithms for supported platforms. Work on integrating algorithms with radar processors and validating performance on experimental systems.

This is a 1-year internship contract based in Bucharest; a part-time option may be available.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for university students; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

The intern will support algorithm development, prototyping, validation, embedded implementation, and testing.

• Model problems and develop advanced mathematical algorithms.
• Prototype algorithms in MATLAB, C/C++, or ML frameworks.
• Validate algorithms on real experimental radar data and systems.
• Implement embedded software and support system integration and testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑regional teams in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Knowledge of radar fundamentals (RF and digital processing chain).
• Analog and digital signal processing; linear algebra and applied mathematics.
• Statistics and estimation theory.
• Theoretical experience with signal processing and system modeling.
• Familiarity with programming in MATLAB and C/C++.
• Good oral and written English communication; attention to detail; able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to perform security‑sensitive tasks when required.

Education Requirements

University studies in progress (undergraduate) in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. This posting targets students; no specific degree completion or certifications are required.
