Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement efficient, stable C/C++ software for Unix/Linux environments.
- Design data structures and algorithms for problems in advanced technology nodes.
- Develop and maintain production software tools used by hardware and semiconductor customers.
- Use debugging and configuration management tools to ensure software quality and stability.
- Produce detailed design documents from product requirements.
- Keep current with IC design and methodology developments and incorporate relevant advances.
- Collaborate with R&D team members to solve complex engineering problems and deliver releases.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven proficiency in C/C++ development on Unix/Linux platforms.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and release-quality engineering.
- Experience with debugging and source/configuration management tools.
- Strong attention to performance and software quality.
- Good verbal and written English communication; able to run small-group discussions and present to larger audiences.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed design documents.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of VLSI design flow and methodology.
- Prior experience in the EDA industry.
- Familiarity with GPU programming.
Education Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (listed in the posting).
