R&D Product Lead - Questa Verification IQ

Role Summary

The R&D Product Lead will drive product direction, technical strategy, and customer adoption for Questa Verification IQ (QVIQ), Siemens' web-based verification management product. The role partners with Product Management, Product Engineering, architects, and customers to define priorities, integrations, and delivery across the Siemens EDA verification portfolio.

This is a leadership position focused on technical product ownership, cross-functional alignment, and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade verification workflows and integrations.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 15+ years of experience in enterprise software development, product leadership, or technical product ownership.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include product leadership, cross-team coordination, and customer engagement to ensure QVIQ meets technical and market needs.

• Define and execute QVIQ product strategy and roadmap in partnership with Product Management and Product Engineering.
• Engage customers, field teams, and strategic accounts to gather requirements and drive adoption.
• Define and implement integration strategy across Siemens EDA products, CI/CD systems, and third-party ecosystems.
• Translate customer and business requirements into engineering priorities and delivery plans.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across R&D, UX, product, and customer-facing teams.
• Provide technical leadership on architectures, scalability, deployment models, and integration approaches.
• Support customer engagements, executive reviews, product demos, and strategic evaluations.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies (including AI-driven workflows) to inform product direction.

Requirements

Must-have technical background, product leadership experience, and customer-facing skills. Preferred items are listed separately.

• Must-have: 15+ years in enterprise software development, product leadership, or technical product ownership with a proven record of delivering complex software products.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architectures, web applications, APIs, distributed systems, and software development lifecycles.
• Practical experience with Java and Spring (or similar), RESTful services, modern front-end frameworks (Angular and/or React), SQL and NoSQL databases, and Linux environments.
• Experience with platform integrations, data-intensive applications, and deployment/scale considerations for distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• Proven ability to work with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and executives; excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, CI/CD systems, and distributed computing environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows, analytics platforms, or data-driven products.
• Knowledge of digital design and verification methodologies, simulation, formal verification, or verification management solutions.
• Familiarity with Siemens EDA solutions and verification technologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
