R&D Engineering Sr. Staff Engineer - PrimeTime Static Timing Analysis

Role Summary

The R&D Engineering Sr. Staff Engineer will own and evolve major architectural components of PrimeTime, focusing on static timing analysis and related technologies. The position involves deep collaboration within a world-class R&D team to enhance the PrimeTime platform, ensuring it remains the industry standard for advanced silicon designs.

Experience Level

Senior, with 8-10 years of experience in electronic design automation (EDA) or related fields.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Owning and evolving major architectural components of PrimeTime.
• Defining long-term technical strategy for static timing analysis.
• Driving architectural consistency across integration points and sign-off ecosystems.
• Leading the design of next-generation STA algorithms.
• Resolving cross-cutting technical issues at sign-off.
• Acting as a technical authority for customer escalations.
• Mentoring engineers through technical reviews and discussions.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in EDA or system software.
• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ within large codebases.
• Deep hands-on experience with static timing analysis or related technologies.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and numerical analysis.
• Proven track record of architecting complex systems.
• Preferred: Experience with PrimeTime and advanced-node design challenges.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent industry expertise.
