Role Summary

This role involves contributing to software development processes within a high-performing engineering team at Synopsys, focused on advancing electronic design automation (EDA) solutions. Mid-level, with up to 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Understanding the codebase and contributing to software development.
• Collaborating with colleagues to implement new capabilities and deliver medium-sized projects with minimal supervision.
• Diagnosing and resolving code issues efficiently.
• Delivering scalable and maintainable code on schedule.
• Optimizing code for performance.
• Creating tests to validate features or changes.
• Communicating solutions clearly within the team.
• Championing best practices in software engineering and mentoring team members.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in C++ and the Linux operating system.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and debugging techniques.
• Understanding of electronic design at the gate or transistor level.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to complex systems.
• Experience in commercial software development and distributed systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Python programming and EDA databases is a plus.

Education Requirements

A B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. degree in a related field is required.
