R&D Engineering Senior Engineer
Role Summary
Design and characterize embedded memory IP (SRAM, ROM, register files) for advanced process nodes. Work on transistor-level bitcell development, circuit simulation, physical implementation reviews, and integration with memory compiler and verification flows. The role is on the embedded memory IP team based in Ho Chi Minh City and supports global product and foundry collaborations.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include circuit design, characterization, and cross-functional integration for embedded memories.
- Design and optimize embedded memory circuits (SRAM, ROM, register files) for advanced process nodes.
- Lead bitcell development from concept through characterization, including transistor-level simulation, corner analysis, and reliability validation.
- Supervise and collaborate with layout engineers to ensure design intent is preserved in physical implementation.
- Integrate memory designs with CAD, compiler, and verification teams for automated generation and validation flows.
- Analyze silicon data to identify failure modes, drive yield and performance improvements, and iterate on design or test methods.
- Mentor junior engineers on circuit design techniques, simulation best practices, and design-for-manufacturability principles.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; a short list of useful additions follows.
- Must-have: 2+ years hands-on experience in embedded CMOS memory design (SRAM, ROM, or register file development).
- Must-have: Deep expertise in SRAM bitcell design, including read/write stability, leakage optimization, and statistical variation analysis.
- Must-have: Proficiency with circuit simulators such as HSPICE or Spectre and familiarity with layout review tools.
- Must-have: Strong scripting skills in C-Shell and Perl for automation and data analysis.
- Must-have: Effective technical communication and collaboration skills in English and Vietnamese.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with C++ or JavaScript and prior work on memory compiler integration, yield analysis, or foundry debug.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
