Role Summary

Lead the Technology Enablement team responsible for developing and deploying custom analog layout methodologies and workflow automation to support Synopsys IP design teams. The role focuses on advancing layout techniques for leading-edge nodes, improving verification and automation, and enabling global adoption of best practices.

Responsibilities

You will drive methodology, automation, verification, and adoption of layout practices across global teams.

• Propose and develop advanced layout design techniques and methodologies, including specification and prototyping.
• Implement solutions and automation using scripting languages (Tcl, Perl, Python).
• Run verification on designs to assess PDK updates and implement scripts to reduce rework.
• Collaborate across multiple organizations and time zones to optimize the design environment for IP teams.
• Train and support global design teams to drive adoption of new layout methodologies.
• Maintain and improve workflow automation to increase productivity and quality in custom analog layout flows.
• Work within an IC design environment using industry tools and custom in-house solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Expertise in custom analog layout design, with experience on sub-5nm FinFET and Gate-All-Around nodes.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and prototyping: Tcl, Perl, and Python.
• Ability to debug LVS (Layout Versus Schematic) and DRC (Design Rule Check) reports.
• Basic understanding of circuit design and digital synthesis/place & route workflows (ICC2/FC).
• Proven experience delivering layout methodologies and automation in a production IC design environment.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams and delivering training to global teams.
• Familiarity with PDK update flows and IP design teams' integration needs.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for cross-team collaboration.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The posting also specifies 5+ years of relevant experience.
