R&D Engineering Intern
Role Summary
Join the DesignWare team in Blanchardstown, Dublin to work on design, verification, validation, and productization of IP blocks such as DDR and PCI Express controllers. The internship provides hands-on engineering tasks using modern hardware design, verification, and AI-assisted tools.
Work on technologies that contribute to high-performance silicon used across Synopsys customers.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Suitable for students and early-career candidates; typically 0–3 years of experience.
Responsibilities
Typical internship tasks include:
- Work on product development for DDR and/or PCIe controllers.
- Contribute to the design, verification, validation, and productization of complex IP blocks.
- Gain hands-on experience using AI and hardware design and verification tools.
- Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges during product development.
- Collaborate with the team on project-driven tasks and work independently when required.
- Learn and explore new technologies and engineering approaches relevant to silicon IP development.

Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (undergraduate or graduate level).
