Role Summary
The role is for an R&D Engineer in the PrimePower Team, which focuses on delivering accurate power estimation solutions at the signoff stage of gate-level designs. The position involves software development primarily in C++.
Experience Level
Mid-level; 2–5 years of industry experience in software development or EDA-related R&D roles.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Independently contributing to feature development and bug fixes.
- Debugging complex software issues in large-scale systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Adapting to new technologies, tools, and EDA workflows.
Requirements
Must-have skills include:
- Proficiency in C/C++ development with strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Experience on Linux platforms and familiarity with development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication skills.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
- Prior experience in EDA software development.
- Understanding of timing analysis or power analysis concepts.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
