R&D Engineer - IP Quality
Role Summary
Work on quality and validation of Embedded Memory IP. Coordinate cross-functional validation activities, run regression suites, analyze results, automate test and reporting workflows, and help improve Quality Management System processes to enable reliable releases.
Experience Level
Entry-level - 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in validation, testing, or quality assurance.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include validation, automation, data analysis, reporting, and process support.
- Coordinate kickoff and release meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and process alignment.
- Execute regression test suites for Embedded Memory IP releases and track validation results across cycles.
- Analyze test data to surface trends, flag anomalies, and identify root causes of failures or quality gaps.
- Write and maintain automation scripts (Python, Tcl) to streamline testing, reporting, and compliance workflows.
- Document test outcomes, process gaps, and actionable improvement recommendations.
- Support refinement of Quality Management System processes based on validation feedback.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes.
- 0–2 years of experience in validation, testing, quality assurance, or a related engineering role.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Tcl.
- Ability to analyze datasets, identify patterns, and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Effective cross-functional communication and ability to coordinate meetings and tasks.
- Self-motivated: identifies repetitive tasks and builds automation to remove them.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Embedded Memory IP, semiconductor validation environments, or Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with regression frameworks and verification tooling.
Education Requirements
