Role Summary

Work on R&D engineering projects at Synopsys Pune developing and maintaining software used in electronic design automation (EDA). Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design, implement, test and ship software components that support chip design and verification workflows.

This is an onsite engineering role contributing to product development and R&D initiatives in the Pune office.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design, implement and maintain software components and tools.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests; debug and resolve defects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, verification, product) to deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.
• Document designs and contribute to technical specifications.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: Strong programming skills (C/C++ and/or Python), experience with Linux development, version control (Git), data structures and algorithms, debugging and performance analysis, and effective communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with EDA tools or semiconductor domain, RTL/verification background, scripting for automation, and familiarity with build systems and CI.
