Role Summary

Develop and optimize large-scale, runtime-efficient software components for digital implementation (DI) flows, focusing on placement, routing, and timing optimization within the Fusion Compiler product line. Work on algorithm design, performance tuning, and integration with cross-functional teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level — minimum 3 years of related professional experience.

Responsibilities

Primary engineering responsibilities include algorithm design, implementation, and performance optimization for EDA tools.

• Design, develop, debug, and optimize large-scale C/C++ software systems; adopt AI-assisted coding workflows where appropriate.
• Develop core algorithms for global/detailed placement, global/detailed routing, and timing optimization.
• Engineer data structures and algorithms optimized for runtime and memory footprint.
• Improve product usability, robustness, and engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new capabilities into Fusion Compiler.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant experience. Items marked "(preferred)" are nice-to-have.

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in EDA tool development and familiar with place-and-route concepts.
• Experience building runtime-efficient software and optimizing performance and memory usage.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
• Place-and-route tool development experience (preferred).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
