Quantronics Solutions Architect

Role Summary

Provide strategic technical leadership at the intersection of quantum, photonics, and electronic design automation (EDA). Engage directly with customers to define solutions using Cadence platforms, shape project scope and deliverables, and coordinate with services and R&D to influence product priorities and execution.

Remote role; candidate must be located in the United States.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer engagement, solution definition, and cross-team execution.

  • Engage with customers to capture technical and business requirements and define solution scope.
  • Design and propose solutions combining quantum, photonics, and EDA technologies.
  • Collaborate with services leadership and R&D to identify tool gaps and influence development priorities.
  • Drive project execution across internal teams and customer stakeholders.
  • Develop methodologies and adapt Cadence platforms to emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project teams as required.

Requirements

Minimum technical and professional requirements. Must-have items listed first; preferred items noted.

  • Strong knowledge of quantum, superconducting, and photonics technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and RF EDA flows.
  • Experience with Unix and shell scripting; programming/scripting skills (Perl desirable).
  • Proven customer-facing communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated self-directed learning and ability to adopt new methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred familiarity with EDA tools: simulators (Spectre, AMS, Xcelium); implementation tools (Virtuoso, Innovus, APD); analysis tools (Celsius, Clarity, Sigrity).

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 16–25 years of design/EDA experience, or Master’s degree with at least 15 years of experience. Master’s degree is preferred. Degrees commonly expected include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
