Quality Engineering Senior Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Lead testing and quality assurance for EDA platform components, focusing on load, stress, functional, regression and performance testing. Work with R&D to identify, isolate and resolve defects, improve test coverage and raise automation maturity.

Senior — typically 5+ years of relevant software testing or EDA experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for the role include test planning, execution and technical collaboration with engineering teams.
- Design and execute load, stress, functional, regression and performance tests for EDA platform components.
- Analyze product requirements, create test plans and prepare test data.
- Isolate, document and report defects; work with R&D to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Own quality for assigned areas and escalate urgent issues appropriately.
- Identify risky areas, recommend improvements and increase automation coverage.
- Use AI-assisted tools to enhance testing workflows and productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing or with EDA tools.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and practices.
- Scripting experience with Tcl and shell; Perl or Python preferred.
- Practical experience with Linux environments.
- Knowledge of VLSI and EDA tool workflows.
- Ability to write clear test documentation and scenarios.
- Experience using Cursor or similar AI coding assistants.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Education Requirements
MS in Computer Science or a related field is specified.
