Quality Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and executing test methodology, reliability and performance qualification for data-center SSD systems. The role implements test software and tools, performs electrical and mechanical failure analysis, and coordinates qualification activities with R&D and product teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop test and qualification methodology for SSD systems to verify reliability and performance against customer requirements.
  • Create and execute qualification plans and implement new test software releases and tools.
  • Perform small-scale electrical and mechanical failure analysis and identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on product reliability methodology for new and existing systems.
  • Review and participate in system product architecture and ensure designs meet quality and reliability specifications.
  • Analyze system and component reliability data for feasibility and risk assessments and coordinate with R&D teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Experience with high-speed communication protocols such as PCIe, NVMe, I2C, UART, or SPI.
  • Use of diagnostic instruments: protocol analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Electrical system debugging experience using industry-standard Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Data analysis and scripting proficiency with Python, MATLAB, JMP, or R.
  • Troubleshooting protocol-driven test challenges and ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Experience with automation, reliability engineering, statistical data processing, and applying reliability models to test results.

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
