Quality Assurance Engineer (IQC & Wafer Test Process)
Role Summary
Lead incoming quality control (IQC) and wafer-level testing process controls to ensure incoming material integrity and maximize semiconductor front-end yields. Coordinate with production, engineering, planning, and suppliers to maintain compliance with customer and company quality standards.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 2β5+ years of relevant experience in electronics assembly, semiconductor backend processing, or wafer-level probe testing.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities covering IQC and wafer test process quality assurance.
- Monitor and maintain product and process quality to meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Manage technical quality controls for wafer testing steps: sorting, probing, and dicing preparation.
- Investigate incoming quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformance cases; lead CAPA actions.
- Analyze quality data to identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, inspection reports, control plans, and quality records.
- Support internal, customer, and certification audits related to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Planning, and suppliers to resolve quality and manufacturing issues.

Must-have: 2β5+ years of experience in electronics assembly, semiconductor backend processing, or wafer-level probe testing.

Must-have: Experience writing 8D reports and using QC core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, control plans).

Must-have: Practical knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems and experience supporting audits.

Must-have: Ability to perform investigations, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and work cross-functionally.

Nice-to-have: Proficiency in Malay and Mandarin for stakeholder communication; strong English communication skills expected.

Nice-to-have: Self-motivation, discipline, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education Requirements
