PV Intern for Low Power Flow

Role Summary

Join the Innovus Low Power Product Validation team to support development and quality assurance of Cadence's low-power electronic design automation (EDA) tools.

The intern will develop and maintain test cases and suites to validate low-power flows within the Innovus Digital Implementation System.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Suitable for current students (undergraduate or master's) or recent graduates; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

The intern will contribute to development and validation of low-power flows and testing infrastructure.

  • Support low-power flow development and validation efforts for Innovus.
  • Develop and maintain unit and flow test cases for the Innovus Digital Implementation System.
  • Create test suites for new low-power features and tools.
  • Work with engineering teams to reproduce, debug, and document issues.
  • Automate test execution and reporting in Unix/Linux environments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes.

  • Solid understanding of digital IC design; knowledge of static timing analysis (STA) is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Scripting experience preferred (TCL, Python, Perl, Shell).
  • Experience with AI/LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) for productivity and automation is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Self-motivated with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to a minimum 6-month internship.

Education Requirements

Master's student or outstanding undergraduate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
