PTE Engineer, Consumer Audio
Role Summary
Responsible for test and product development of mixed-signal audio edge processors and battery-management power products within the Hearable Audio Solutions business unit. Part of Product & Test Engineering (PTE), working across pre‑silicon and post‑silicon phases from DFT and silicon bring‑up to characterization and high‑volume production release.
Collaborates with Design, Bench Eval, Product Development, global ADI teams, and offshore test houses at the Bangalore site.
Experience Level
Mid-level (Experienced). 5–7 years' hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test architecture, ATE software and hardware development, and test program release for production.
- Design probe and test solutions with highly parallel multi-site capability using mixed-signal/Digital ATE (e.g., UltraFLEX, NI, 93K).
- Develop ATE software and automation to meet specifications.
- Define and support DFT/BIST with the Design team to improve testability and reduce failures.
- Execute silicon bring‑up, functionality verification, characterization, yield analysis, and correlation.
- Release multi-site test programs and hand off to offshore production test houses.
- Work with reliability engineers on product qualification activities.
- Use bench equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generators, analyzers) for evaluation and debug.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- 5–7 years' hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test development.
- Experience with ATE platforms and software development: Teradyne Flex, NI and/or 93K.
- Experience in highly parallel multi-site test hardware design and layout.
- Proficiency in Perl and C++ for test software development.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills for characterization and yield analysis.
- Experience releasing test programs to offshore production test houses and working with vendors.
- Familiarity with bench evaluation instruments for debug and validation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
